PAUL LONGHI Obituary


PAUL MELVIN LONGHI "Mel"  
Passed away peacefully October 16, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born on September 20, 1925. He is predeceased by his wife Anne Tomlinson Longhi; daughter, Barbara and brother, Robert "Bob" Longhi. He is survived by his daughters, Susan King (David), Paula Longhi, Karen Vita (Jimmy); six grandsons, a great-granddaughter, brother, William "Billy", and many extended family and friends who will miss him greatly. He served in WWII from 1943 - 1945 and graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1949 with a degree in Civil Engineering and married Anne that same year. He co-owned Longhi and Sons Construction for several years and assisted in building the North Way and other major roads in New York State before going on to a successful career with IBM for 25 years. A private memorial service will be held on November 1, 2015 in Rockville, MD. The family would like to thank the staff of Rockville Nursing Home for their care and request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in memory of Mel Longhi to Rockville Nursing Home, 303 Adclare Rd., Rockville, MD 20850.
