Both my daughters were privileged to spend several years at Angier after school with Peter. He was wonderful and kind to them. We were very sad to hear about his passing.

So saddened to have come across. Simply put there was no one like Peter. I had the opportunity of being a student in the Angier after school program that Peter ran. Years later after graduating high school and then even graduating college, I would go back to Angier and when peter would see me he would yell out" Brian Ives". He would proceed to ask me how my family was and even remembering the kids I hung out with at
Angier After care and would ask if I was still in touch with them. Peter knew me well as the shy kid who always was ready to go home and would be out looking for either my parents or my aunt to pick me up. I think the truest example of Peter's life was at his retirement party. I watched people who were older then me go up to Peter and he was talking to them like he had them in the Angier after school program just yesterday. Those people by the way that he would be chatting with had kids of their own that Peter got to also mentor. I again simply say there was no one else like Peter. My thoughts and prayers go out to Peter. However, every time I think of Peter, I can't help but have a big smile on my face. One incredible man with an incredible life!

I still think of Peter often-every time I work with kids and it goes well, I always have Peter to thank. He taught me my whole approach to elementary school teaching. Rest In Peace, Peter. What an honor to have known you for 25 years-as your student, a visitor, then an occasional employee, and an admirer of your one of a kind soul.

Tonight I was listening to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and thinking about Peter. Although no one will read this (as I write at the very end of 2022) I´m glad that the fact that he was so very clear in my mind is going out into the world. He was a one off, and I am grateful to have known him well for a time.

I had the honor and the pleasure of woking with Peter for 12 years. We could not have been more different people, yet we became the best of friends. There was nothing I would not have done to help Peter in any way I could. I honor Peter's memory every day by making my 9's the same way he made his, and every time I write that 9 on my white board in the gym, I think of my friend. Continue to RIP Peter, you are missed every day and you will never be forgotten

I worked with Peter at AASP for a couple of years in the early 1980's. Not that many people from such a short amount of time and that long ago leave a lasting impression, but he did. A big storyteller, a big laugh, and most of all, a big heart. I'm sad I didn't make the effort to get back in touch. May his memory be for a blessing...I know it will.

Peter was a blazing light in an uncertain world. Newton families have lost a kind and passionate man who truly loved his work. I was his loving student as a child and his admiring peer as an adult.

My children attended the Angier After School program for 11 years. Without Peter's care, support and dedication to their development, I would never have been able to pursue my career. Peter created and directed a "village" that families clamored to join because his kindness, creativity and enthusiasm made it a wonderful and safe space to grow up in. The S-G's are so grateful for Peter's influence on our lives. He was a very good man and will be missed

Petey was my AASP work husband. He taught me lessons in imagination, creativity and equanimity... and how to fold an origami peace crane. Petey, wherever you are, know that the AASP Rosche's Neighborhood lives on in our love for you. Love, love, love to your spirit as it journeys through the ether of eternity my beloved
most-est, best-est work husband ever!

So very, very sad at this news: such a loss for an entire community of lively kids and extremely lucky parents who had the good fortune of having Peter in our lives! A larger than life presence and wonderful guy. Peter, thank you for the kindness, guidance and joy you brought to my kids. You made such an impact. And to his family, May the knowledge of his positive influence on so many be a comfort during this difficult time. - Charlotte, Margaret and Jimmy-Bill's Mom

Peter helped shape me. He was presence in my life 5 days a week for 7 years. Some of my fondest memories are listening to him read stories to a room full of kids. He will be dearly missed for everything he gave to many and for who he was.

I'm shockedI ran into Peter just a few months ago in NYC. I loved Peter since he was my after school teacher when I was five, to when he hired me as a substitute teacher at Angier After School when I was twenty four. He was one of a kindwarm, hilarious, philosophical, and the world's most cultured lover of hot sauces. What a mensch. Too young to go.

So sorry to hear this news. It's been forever, but enjoyed hanging with Pete and Tim at the Kensington house, the farm, and Pete kindly put a friend and I up at his place in Boston many years ago. He was everything the obituary says and a kind soul. Thoughts are with the family.
