Dear Lazaroff Children,
I was so saddened to hear of Phil's death. I had tried to contact him after Marilyn passed but was unfortunately unable to reach him.
It is difficult to pass on to you the positive and lasting impact your father and mother had on both colleagues and patients lives. It was thirty years ago he and Fred Krell hired me at North Shore Children's Hospital. It feels like an era has ended with his passing.
I will cherish the memories of parties (the shower for my first born included), laughter, good times, good stories and learning about life and a profession that benefitted from his knowledge, compassion and down-to-earth wisdom.

Dear Family of Phil:
I was devastated to learn of Phil's death. I knew Phil as a colleague at North Shore Children's Hospital Salem over 20 years ago; I also knew him as my therapist. Phil was an extremely bright, vibrant and charismatic individual, as was Marilyn. He was also extremely skilled as a therapist and played a significant role in helping me to turn around my life. I had lost contact with him over the years and then made numerous attempts to reconnect with him after Marilyn's death to offer him some level of support. My heart goes out to all of you. I'm so glad i had the privilege of knowing him. He had such a positive influence on me. I will always remember him with great fondness and gratitude. He was so fortunate to have his wonderful children to care for him.

Dear Susie, Leon, Julie and Danielle,
I saw the obit in yesterday's Post, and am unable to attend the funeral, but wanted to post a note to you 4. My husband Gary and I met your parents on a September 1987 trip to Italy and had a ball with them -- many laughs. We kept up for a few years after that, visited them in Swampscott and saw them here in Chevy Chase. They were wonderful people, so full of life and great to be around. We were so sad to read of Phil's passing, and sorry we didn't keep up after Marilyn's death. They were smart, funny and fun, and spoke proudly of all of you. Our condolences to you all.
