It was my pleasure to know you over twenty plus years. I will never forget our numerous carpooled rides together to Richmond. We chatted about so many things, particularly relating to the black community, and how we were going to change the world.

Mrs. Royster, you and your family have our deepest sympathy on the loss of Preston. We fondly remember him when he was an active member of the Northern Virginia Chapter of Virginia State University Alumni Association and all that he did for Civil Rights back in the day. He will be solely missed.

Mr Royster helps mold me into a successful businessman man. You had to have a good answer ready for him if you told him something. He would look at you and give you a second to think about what you said before he would answer. He was a very intelligent father figure to me and his sons. He will dearly be missed and he was a truly Blessing to me!!!!!

What a fun person he was. You could tell when he was about to punctuate a discussion with some real humor that kept us thinking and laughing. His research into the Baily Family History led to many really fun reunions. Thanks, Preston for the many ways you taught us. May we all stay positive. Smitty
