PUSHPA KAPANI
Mrs. Pushpa Kapani (née Abrol), died on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. She was born to the late Bankamal Abrol and Suwagwanti Abrol in Pasur, India on May 8, 1932.Mrs. Kapani completed her undergraduate education at Dyal Singh College, India and graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Master's Degree in Education. In India she was the Headmistress of the Government Girls High School In Karnal, India. She was an active member of the Punjabi community in the greater Washington, DC area for the past 46 years. Mrs. Kapani is survived by her husband, of 54 years, Mr. ManMohan Kapani; two children, Roy Kapani and Reeta Kapani; and five grandchildren, Natalia (Lia) Kapani, Emma Hope Kapani, Apexa Sophia Holmes, Dillan Robert Holmes and Jetan Robert Holmes.Keeping in tradition with her faith, a Hindu service and cremation ceremony will be performed at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home at 9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax Virginia 22032.www.fmfh.com
