RACHEL ADISY SUSON
On Sunday, May 24, 2015, RACHEL ADISY SUSON of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of New Milford, NJ. Beloved wife of Rabbi Steven M. Suson. Devoted mother of Mara Leona Suson. Dear daughter of Leon and Maria Adisy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, 11 a.m. at Congregation Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim, 1840 University Blvd., W., Silver Spring, MD 20902. Interment following at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Adelphi, MD. Shiva will be observed at the family home from Wednesday afternoon through Tuesday morning, with services at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001 (endorsed by The Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington).

Dearest Rabbi Suson & Mara: Not a day goes by in which I do not think of your family and pray for Mara's joy. I do know she is blessed with a guardian angel to look after her (along with a devoted and doting dad), but still. I know this date brings you all great pain, and I want you to know you are not alone; never. Miss seeing you all, but I am always here for your family, Liza.

We are so sorry for this terrible loss. Although I did not know Rachel well, seeing her in synagogue after Mara's birth, you could see the joy that she felt by being a mom. Coming to know you on a more personal level through working with Arielle and Matthew for their bat and bar mitzvah tutoring, your wife could only have been the kindest of souls, as you were. Mara is fortunate to have you as a Dad, and I'm sure your community will be there to support you in your time of need. May your memories of Rachel be a blessing to you always.
