Olga and Family, Ralph is the person who interviewed me and hired me for the position I still hold at the Management and Planning Staff. He was truly a gift from God to me, as I had been looking for a change in my position for a long time and I could not have found a better placement than to work for Ralph. He was a wonderful supervisor and truly a supporter professionally and personally. Ralph was the essence of goodness, wisdom, and joy in all things. I wish that I could be more like him. I am counting on him still to guide me from his new home in Heaven. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

I knew Ralph for nearly 20 years - both from work and the infamous carpool. His love of his family and faith was evident within minutes of meeting him. He was a great storyteller and I could never figure out how he could describe in detail restaurant meals he had over the years -- only to find out that maybe that meal was 15 years ago! Great person - I wish there were more people like him - he will be missed.

I worked with Ralph for over 20 years. He was a valued colleague, mentor, and friend. His love for his family, his pride in his daughters, his faith in God, were palpable. He was a class act!

Olga: Ralph was always a very dear friend of mine. I traveled with him to work every day for 15 years in a carpool and worked with him for 20 years. Together we did every restaurant in Chinatown (There are 26 of them!)for lunch after Mass and Communion at Saint Mary's over those 20 years. I will always remember Ralph for his love of you and his family; his deep deep faith; his unbridled patriotism; his basic decency and kindness towards others; and, his great sense of humor. He will always be in my memories and prayers. So will you!..He will be sorely missed!..Love and prayers...Bob Diegelman
