Randy Lewis Graves
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Randy Lewis Graves of Lanham, Maryland entered into eternal glory at the age of 72. Randy was born on August 6, 1949, in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He graduated from Caswell County High School in 1968. He fought for our country in Vietnam from April 1970 - June 1971. Shortly after returning home from the service, he married his lovely wife of 49 years Carmen Jane Graves (deceased) in Washington, DC.He worked at The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) in Washington, DC as a Press Operator specializing in Web Offset Printing for 36 years. During his tenure at GPO, Randy also led an apprenticeship program for newly hired press operators. He loved watching sports and TV shows, reading his paper, chatting with family and friends, nature, fishing, bird watching and eating good home cooked meals.He is survived by his brother Lawrence Graves; son Cory Graves; daughters Shannon Graves Jones (Andre) and Monica Graves-Thompson (Juan); and grandson Donovan J. Wesley Thompson (Monica).Funeral arrangements will be held at 9:30 a.m. on March 19, 2022 at JB Jenkins Funeral Home in Landover, MD.
