In loving memory of Bishop Richard Keith Thompson. Gone but not forgotten. I recall when Bishop Thompson told me not to allow preaching to cause me to stop being feminine. He said, "Stay soft. Be a lady. Never feel like you have to act masculine or compete with men in ministry. You are who God made you to be. Just be the woman of God called you to be. God has no respect of person, neither male nor female.
It was inspiring hearing our Presiding Prelate encouraging women in the Lord. Although I am no longer a member of the A.M.E. Zion Church; I shall never forget the training and teachings received in the denomination. Sending prayers from our beloved mother, Rev. Arthero Reed in Birmingham, Alabama.
Best wishes to the Thompson family. May God bless and keep you is my prayer.
