ROBERT AMERY Obituary
Robert S. Amery "Bob" June 15, 1922 - December 29, 2017
Retired as a highly-respected Administrative Law Judge with the U.S. Department of Labor, a proud USAF Col., and as a GySgt. in the USMC, he was also a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth S. Amery. He leaves behind his two sons, James (wife Mardie) and William (spouse Michael), and a grandson, Robert.Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, January 13, 2018, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield, VA 22151 (see full-length obituary at www.demainefunerals.com). In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your favorite charity, or to the American Heart Association.

Thank you all for your kind condolences; we all greatly appreciate your taking the time to write something here, and coming to Dad's visitation, those of you who were able to. Dad was truly one of a kind, and I felt so blessed to have had him for a father-in-law...he always spoiled me like I was his favorite daughter. He was such a sweetheart, as was Jim's Mom, too. Now they are together, and, I'm sure, as inseparable in heaven as they were here on earth. RIP, Dad!! And Mom!! We miss you...

I want to give my condolences for Robert Amery passing. He was a wonderful man who loved his family and country, and was very generous. May his spirit stay with us forever. I have added him to my pray list, which grows each year.

A great uncle he was , reading this I never knew of his past endevers. He and Aunt Betty will be missed . I remember our summer vacations when they would come up to Mass . Always a good time was had, Last of the greats.
