Robert Lorenz Obituary
He joined the United States Army in 1959 and retired from the Army after 23 years as a Sergeant Major. Bob served in the Vietnam War. After the Army, Bob joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in federal security in Washington D.C. and retired from FEMA to enjoy travel, golf, and many other activities. Bob was very proud of his service to the United States of America.
He leaves his wife Laura Ann Hutchison Lorenz of 45 years and three children, Cheryl, Diana, and Robert. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his brother Roy and extended family members around the United States.
A visitation was held at Hall Funeral Home, in Purcellville, VA on Friday February 13, 2026 at 11 am. Followed by a ceremony at noon that day. Immediately after, his burial took place at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bloomfield VA.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
Laura and the family would like to thank all of our friends, new and old, who have taken such good care of us over the years. We appreciate your love and support.

I am so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob and my mother, Alice Marie Strempek-Arvonio were second cousins (their grandmothers were sisters (Julia and Martha) Maciejewski. I had the pleasure of speaking with Bob while we were living in Alexandria, VA and had good conversations about our family tree. He was so very patient and helpful to help me fill in the family tree with so many cousins. I am sorry I didn't have the opportunity to get together! My thoughts and prayers are with Laura and family. With our deepest sympathies and condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We corresponded when I was
on my family history search and he was more than kind supplying me
with information and detail. We were all Maciejewski great grandchildren
and Bob and my cousin Virginia Doria both entered heaven on Feb. 7, 2026.
