Lois , I recently learned of Bob´s passing. Condolences to you and the family. Bob was a great mentor and friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together at COMLANTFLT N7 - Training. Bob´s dedicated service to the nation, the Navy, the Fleet and sailors was an inspiration to all.

Lois and Moser family, our sincere condolences. I (Roger) have fond memories of undergraduate days at University of Cincinnati, when Bob and I were both chemistry students. After my graduation in 1965 and Bob's graduation in 1966, Bob was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and I was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force. Our careers took us on separate paths. We used to exchange Christmas letters -- the latest that I was able to find was from 2015. I reread it today.
Just found out about Bob's passing from Ken Seidelmann on Monday, March 14 (Pi Day 2022). I had written to Ken that day about a matter in dynamical astronomy, and found out from Ken that Bob had just passed. (Ken and Lois are cousins). Greatly saddened at this situation, yet so proud to have known a such a distinguished Navy Captain, patriot, and family man. May Bob rest in the peace that he so richly deserves. May you all be proud of him forever. Be always buoyed by the blessings of knowing him and sharing time on this Earth with him! Roger and Karen Mansfield, Colorado Springs, Colorado USA.

I noticed the obituary in the Pilot regard Robert Moser. First, I am sorry for you loss. It caught my eye because my husband's Mother's family is part Moser. My family has recently been researching ancestry and Robert may not be related, but wondered if you were interested in copies of what I do have regarding Moser ancestry. If so, you are welcome to email me and let me know. [email protected]. Regards to you and your family. Diane

Lois, My sincerest condolences concerning Bob. Hadn´t heard from him at Xmas for 2 or 3 years. I knew LT Bob when he was Ops in USS Darter (SS 576) in 1970 (I was a Midn 1/c). In 1983 CDR Bob was my boss in the AAW shop of the Office of Naval Warfare (OP 955D-the D team) in the Pentagon (I was a LCDR). Bob was a great leader, hardworking, and very dedicated. He was the best of the best. I will miss him, but will never forget his legacy of service to our Republic.

Dear Lois, family and friends of Bob´s,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Bob´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" leaves on Eternal Patrol. Among many assignments in his thirty-year career, he served with honor on the submarine USS Darter SS-576.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
Lois and family, "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).
Jim Sandman, FTC(SS) Ret.
