ROBERT LEWIS OECHSLER
BoB Oechsler on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Beloved husband of Kirsten; father of Dan Oechsler, Tracey Tio, and Skylar Deichmann; brother of James A Oechsler, Donna Williams, Betty Windsor, Will Oechsler, and Scott Oechsler; as well as, Jim A Miller II, Steve Miller, Virginia "Ginny" Lyon, Barbara Glaze, Joan Miller, and Susan Miller; grandfather of Daniel Gavin and Desmond Layne Tio; and many cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom he loved. A celebration of BoB's life will be held at a later date at All Hallows Episcopal Church, Edgewater, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Hallows Episcopal Church or to the American Lung Association (Small Cell Lung Cancer Research). I am only learning of this today. Despite having only what I can describe as some kind of unintentional falling out from him, I was hoping I'd some day talk to him again about old work as he was ex NASA as am I. I assisted with a lot of video for him to the best of my technical ability, and all the things written in this tribute page are accurate. He was a stickler for accuracy and always pushed for the extra detail in a project. I am thankful for all I learned from him. He even leant me a car when my car was in the shop for an extended time. His loss in his field of study has always been something we've missed. My condolences to his wife and family, and I can say without a doubt he is watching over us.
