Robert P. Parker

Robert P. Parker, age 84, of Washington, DC, passed away peacefully in his home at Ingleside at Rock Creek on February 16, 2025. Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Over the course of his long career, Bob was the Chief Statistician at the Bureau of Economic Analysis and then at the Government Accountability Office. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sally, and his second wife, Jeanne. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Gordon; his children, Alan Parker and Steven (Sheri) Parker; brother, Ted Parker and sister, Dorothy Parker; and grandchildren Rose and Matthew Parker.
Funeral Services will be held at Temple Beth Ami, 14330 Travilah Rd, Rockville, MD, on Monday, February 24, 2025, 12 p.m. with interment to follow at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Rd, Clarksburg, MD. MD, immediately following the service. Shiva services will be held at Ingleside at Rock Creek, 3050 Military Rd NW, Washington, DC at 5 p.m. (prayers at 5:45 p.m.) on Monday, February 24 and Tuesday, February 25.
