I work for Bob from 1967 to 1975. He was the most aggressive responsibility-taker I have ever known--a real "workhorse". I worked for him at the Census Bureau as an investigative problem resolver; and he later brought me to BEA in the same capacity. Together, we resolved some really gritty theoretical problems for those two agencies. I learned much from Bob Parker and consider it a privilege to have known Him and to have worked for him. He was the "real deal".
