I offer my belated condolences to Robert's family; I did not hear the news until recently when I received the OCA natl. magazine. It was amazing how much he managed to accomplish in his 32 years of life, juggling long hours at a top law firm, while also devoting time to community service. I got to know Robert through APABA-DC and the OCA. He struck me as a very intelligent and compassionate person who was goal-oriented and devoted to his family. I am so sorry that this horrible tragedy happened to him.

I was a friend of Robert's from W&M. We shared some common activities and classes. I remember him as a caring and dedicated guy. My father also remembers him well as his advisor at W&M.

My thoughts are with his family.

We have been friends of Kathy and Robert from the beginning of their lives together. My family and I are devastated, as we know all of you are. With Kathy's permission, we've sponsored this space as a permanent memorial and keepsake in honor of Robert. Please send me your pictures for inclusion in the photo gallery, and please, please post your memories and thoughts so all of Robert's friends can share.

I went to high school with Robert in Brooklyn, NY and I cannot tell you how shocked and saddened I was to hear of this. The world lost a truly gifted, talented and kind young man and one that I always admired. I hope Robert and his family find some kind of peace after this awful, senseless tragedy.

IT IS WITH DEEPEST REGRETS, THAT I LEARNED OF ROBERTS UNTIMELY DEATH. I SERVED WITH ROBERT ON ON THE VA COMMISSION, AND WHILE I DID NOT KNOW HIM THAT WELL, HE CERTAINLY WAS AN IMPRESSIVE INDIVIDUAL. PLEASE ACCEPT MY SINCERST SYMPATHIES. MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU.

Franklin Wallace, Vice Chairman, GCNCS

On behalf of the Governor's (Virginia) Commission on National & Community Service (GCNCS), please accept our deepest sympathy in this time of grief and tragic loss. During his terms as a Commissioner, Robert served the Commonwealth of Virginia in a truly honorable fashion. His input as a Commissioner was invaluable and his presence was felt by every Commissioner. Of an even greater importance was his integrity and kindness - we were all proud to call Robert a colleague and friend. We will miss him dearly.

GOD bless your entire family.

Words are not adequate enough in times of grief. No one can pretend they know your pain. The Life you shared, so precious and dear. The loving moments, your hopes, your dreams all seem so heavy now.

I know the tears of sorry. I know the tears are hopes and dreams being renewed. I know the tears contain the life that was once shared. I know the tears will allow you to feel the embracing touch of a love. And, I know now that each teardrop contains life, and my love one lives within!

My prayer is that God brings the understanding to you. Because He loves us all!
