Kathy,
Just found this page; had no idea. Roger was our bassist during the Virginia Tech days. Didn't stay in touch over the years, but I remember him as both a humble and ferocious player. We had some great times as young guns playing in Blacksburg. My best to you and the family.

Dear Mrs. Freeman and Family,
I too send out my prayers to you in your loss of a great man and humanitarian. I also worked with Roger @ Kaiser Permanente. Roger, Don Leffler and I use to workout together during our lunch hour. That is when I really had the pleasure of finding out how great of a man Roger is.
I will cherish his memory and the time God allowed me to be in his presence.
May the power of God soothe you and help you to heal during this time.
God Bless

Dear Kathy & Family,
Words cannot explain how sad & shocked I was when I heard that Roger passed away. Roger was working with me in my department for about three years and we were very good friends. We used to talk a lot about little girls' activities because my daughter is about the same age as Gayla. He and his kind words will remain in my mind. My heartfelt prayers are with you at the moment of this big loss in your family. May God bless you with lots of strength, support & courage.

Dear Kathy and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of your loss. Roger and I graduated from Ballou and attended Va. Tech together. He was a terrific person and a great friend. I had not seen Roger in a couple of years and happened last year to catch a show with his band. During a break, we laughed and talked about old times. He was as witty and engaging as always. He will be missed.

Mrs. Freeman,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. Back during his VA Tech days, we all kept each other going. There was the DC crew, Tidewater crew, and the Richmond crew. But no matter what area you were from you were family to all. I remember how he would keep us laughing and always had a kind word.
Roger is in God's care now and forever in our hearts.
May God grant you a sense of peace during this difficult time of your life.

To Kathy and the Freeman Family I share your grief in the loss of husband, father, son and friend. I worked with Roger years ago at Kaiser Permanente and echo the sentiments of others who knew him to be a well balanced, serious, kind and mild tempered man. He played the Bass for our poetry group -- Word-Up Poetry Ensemble in the late 90's. Roger will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. May God be with you in this your darkest hour and may you find succor and peace in the knowledge and truth found in the words of Revelation 21: 4...and death will be no more...

Dear Mrs. Freeman and family, please accept my sincerest condolences on behalf of myself and the Brothers of the Mu Nu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at Virginia Tech. I was not fortunate enough to have met Mr. Freeman personally, but was able to benefit from the foundation that he helped to lay as a founder of the Mu Nu Chapter at Virginia Tech. May God richly bless you and yours and grant you peace and serenity in your time of loss.

Dear Freeman Family:
It is so very sad and shocking to learn Roger's tragedy. I have known Roger for over 15 years. Started from Accounting to Financial Planning to Medicare Finance. Roger and I have always sat few steps away. In my mind, Roger was a funny, caring, polite and a little bit conservative person. It is so hard to believe he would be gone like this! I will always treasure the friendship with him and to his family, please accept my sincere condolences and deepest prayers.

Dear Kathy & family,
I am extremely sorry to hear of your loss. I have had the pleasure of knowing Roger for the last 6 years through his band, Alternate Root. Roger was a beast on his bass, a very loyal, kind, even-tempered and caring man. I will never, ever forget him and he will forever have a place in my heart.

Dear Freeman family,
I am so sad to learn of your loss. Roger and I worked together at Kaiser in the early 90's in Financial Planning. He was part of an outstanding team that worked very well together. In fact, it was the best team I've ever had the privilege to work with - and they each still hold a special place in my heart. I remember Roger as very kind, capable, ethical, willing and caring. I remember when Gayla was born and how happy he was to become a dad. I left Kaiser several years ago, but have been very interested in keeping tabs on my former team. I saw Roger several times when I visited and he seemed to be doing so well! I also heard nothing but positive comments about him and his accomplishments from others. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
My prayers are with you as you go through this very difficult time.

To the Freeman Family
You have my earnest condolences and deepest prayers. Roger was a great friend, colleague/co-woker of mine (at Kaiser Permanente). He was a wonderful genuinely good person that impacted all those with whom he came in contact, in a positive way. We are all better because of the interaction. He will be greatly missed but surely remembered. My the power of God sustain you during this time.
