I met Russ while dating my wife and spent a lot of time with him over the years. I have shared many a laugh with him. The two favorite trips I spent with him were to Nags Head, NC and to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He enjoyed music and I enjoyed his fellowship. My condolences to Paul and Ryan whom I love deeply, and all of his family and friends who will miss him. Peace and comfort is my wish to you all.

Russell's brother, Morris, and I were close friends in our teens and early twenties. I first met Russell when Morris suggested we ride our bikes to where Russell lived. We lived in Kensington, MD and I did not know until several sweaty hours later that Russell lived in Washington D.C. Meeting him, though, was worth the ride. My deepest condolences to Morris and all others in Russell's life.

Russ and I worked together at V.E.P.CO. between 1981 & 1984. We also socialized together on occasion. I have many a fond memory of some of those days. One of them being the day we ran out of gas in our truck. By coincidence, we were about 1/2 mile from our managers house(Dick Bender). So, we walked over to his house with a gas can to beg his wife for some gas. we subsequently siphoned some from one of his cars. I hope Russ rests in peace. And my condolences to all family and friends.
Kurt Miller.
