Sally Birge Obituary
Sally was survived by her sons, Kyle (Jan) Martin Holt and Dwayne (Brenda) Holt; her grandchildren Michael (Elizabeth) Holt, Shelby (Gabriel) Escaba, Devon (fiancé Mac) Holt, Harrison (Jaqueline) Holt, and Madison Holt; and great-grandchildren Ophelia and Asher Holt and Atlas Escaba; her second husband's children Lisa (Fleet) Dalby, Thomas Jr. (Donna) Birge, Nancy (William) Jacobs and Robert's wife Kathy Birge; grandchildren Emily Birge, Annie (D'Aija) Birge, Thomas (Courtney) Birge, James Birge, William Jacobs and Caroline Jacobs, and great-grandchildren Maverick and Mackenzie Birge; her sister Helen Jean Molster Allingham, her first husband Barry Holt and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Lee Decker Miller Taylor, her husband Thomas Worthington Cooke Birge, Sr. and his son Robert Birge.
Visitation will be at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD. A celebration of her life will take place at Army Navy Country Club, 1700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

So many memories to think about shared with this lovely lady, Sally Birge, who became my friend. We met through our husbands regarding their years at VMI, where's Sally's husband Tom Birge was my husband Dick Coupland's dyke (a VMI term) and we most often shared fun and friendship at Army Navy Country Club, Fairfax. Sally always had grace. She will be missed for a long time to come. God be with all of her loving families.

Always looked forward to Sally´s beautiful smile and gracious manner when my husband and I attended the Reunions at VMI. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
