NEWMYER, SALLY P.
Passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Newmyer, Jr. and cherished mother of Mary Lou Bulman and Carol Newmyer Spiegel. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and taught kindergarten in Philadelphia. She married Alvin Newmyer in 1941 and moved to Washington, D.C., where she resided for over 60 years. Sally was a volunteer for Jewish Social Services at The Bombay Chest for over 40 years. She is also survived by her brother, William Pomerantz of Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Lisa Mullen, Laurie Weissman, Jonathan Bulman, Allison Spiegel and Benjamin Spiegel, as well as two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tucker Mullen. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in the chapel at Washington Hebrew Congregation on Macomb St. in Washington, D.C. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Washington Hebrew Congregation or the American Heart Association.
