SARAH ELIZABETH FINDLEY (Age 54)  "Beth"
Of Washington, DC, died suddenly December 24, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Sarah Elizabeth Browne Findley and Allen Findley, Beth grew up in Newport News, VA. Beth was an avid gardener and quick to volunteer in her community. She enjoyed spending time at a family farm in Bowdoinham, ME. No words can express her love for all and the goodness of her heart. Beth is survived by her husband of 27 years, Christopher Allen Meyerhoff; her two children, Sarah Elizabeth Meyerhoff and Christopher Andrew Meyerhoff; her mother, Sarah Findley of Newport News, VA; her brother, Allen Fiske Findley of Valley Center, CA; her nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Allen Findley. Services will be held at The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer, Bethesda, MD, at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 with reception to follow. My heart goes out to the Myerhoff and Findley families. I just recently heard of Beth's passing as I relocated many years ago. Beth was one of my favorite Nurse colleagues at Georgetown. A wonderful friend to all of us-- always a smile for her patients and always a work shift punctuated with laughter. My thoughts and prayers are with Beth and her family.

What a sparkler - gone far too soon. I always called her "Pink Beth" because of her running clothes, and have since learned that many others did also. She was always ready to help any poor soul - including me - who needed a friend or just a simple word of encouragement. We miss you, Beth.

I loved her smile. I loved her kindness. I saw her often at meetings and in the spirit of the St Francis prayer read at Redeemer yesterday, she never failed to turn my negativity or fear into something more bearable. I am very very sad as all her family and friends are, but how lucky we were to know her. A reason, a season, a lifetime. Thank you, Beth.

I had the pleasure of knowing Beth through an art class we were taking together and found ourselves running into one another wherever we might be shopping. More than once did she help me carry out the heaviest items and it seemed she found me whenever I needed help. She was so lovely and lively and always pretty in pink. I am very saddened and will always remember her kindness.
For one of my completed stuffed animal projects, she looked over and pinned a small, bright red heart that she said it needed. That was Beth, providing heart to the occasion.
