My dear Aunt Shirley how you are truly missed what a blessing it was to have you here with us, but when the Father calls us home we have to go! I will never forget the talks, the times we shared, your cool dance moves, the corner store runs for you, your fish tank, and that white cat statue under the table... you by far are one of the most memorable people that I share with my children as a legacy. You will be missed and forever loved. All praises until we meet again Auntie!
Love your Niece.

TO THE FAMILY OF SHIRLEY MAE SCALES.
BLESSED ARE THEY THAT MOURN: FOR THEY SALL BE COMFORTED. MATT. 5:4
PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF COMPASSION AND THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TROUBLES, SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT THOSE IN ANY TROUBLE WITH THE COMFORT WE OURSELVES HAVE RECEIVED FROM GOD. 2CORENTHIANS 1:3-11
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAMILY AND IN MY HEART. I FIND PEACE IN KNOWING SHIRLEY IS HAVING A HIGH TIME WITH ALL THOSE WHO WENT ON BEFORE HER. DONTRELL, TROY, CARL, MOTHER TELLINGTON AS WELL AS ALL THOSE OTHER LEGENDS IN HISTORY. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR., MEDGAR EVERS, OSSIE DAVIS, ROSA PARKS, JUST TO NAME A FEW. SHE'S LISTENING TO SOME GOOD MUSIC TOO WITH BARRY WHITE, RAY CHARLES, MAHAILIA JACKSON. WE ARE THE ONES SHE SHOULD FEEL SORRY FOR, BECAUSE MOST OF ALL SHE HAS GOD AND JESUS RIGHT THERE. SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO PRAY FOR THEM TO SHOW UP...BOOM...THEY ARE RIGHT THERE ON CLOUDS NUMBER NINE AND TEN. WHAT A BESSING. Y'ALL TAKE CARE UNTIL WE GET THERE. LOVE YOU!

Bless those who mourn, eternal God,
with the comfort of your love
that they may face each new day with hope
and the certainty that nothing can destroy
the good that has been given. May their memories become joyful,
their days enriched with friendship,
and their lives encircled by your love.
Amen.

Shirley
We laughed. You always said I was liked the daughter, you never had. But, at the end, when you left, it took a peace of my heart.
But I know, in spirit we will never be a-part.
Love,
Lisa

He Only takes the Best
In tears we saw you sinking, and watched you fade away
Our hearts were truly broken , oh! how we wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free of pain,
How could we wish you back with us, to go through that again.
A golden heart stopped beating, two busy hands at rest.
God came to us in death to prove, "He only takes the Best."
Rest in peace
Love,
Your Sister Gwendell
