Stephen F. Cissel

Steve Cissel, of West Chester, PA, died peacefully in his home on June 19, 2025, with his wife Shari Baumann Cissel and children Charlie, Henry and Iris, by his side. He was 63. Born in Washington, DC, Steve was the son of John P. and Marie P. Cissel who predeceased him. He was raised in Potomac, MD and was a proud graduate of Churchill High School and the University of Richmond (Go Spiders!). Steve had a successful career as a financial analyst, working for a number of high profile banks and companies, and was well respected in his field. In addition to his immediate family, Steve is survived by his siblings John F. and Robert C. Cissel and Nancy Wiegand; in-laws, nephews and a niece who all adored him, numerous cousins and a host of dear friends and their extended families. A devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend, he will be remembered by his infectious and generous smile. Please pass your smile on to others as a tribute to Steve. A Celebration of his Life will be held July 28, 2025 at Braeloch Brewing, Kennett Square.
