STEVEN BYRD Obituary
Steven Brian Byrd Sr.
Steven Brian Byrd Sr. was born on November 4, 1957, Cheverly, MD. Transitioned on January 30,2022. He was born to the late George and Lucille Byrd. He spent his early childhood in Washington, DC, later relocating with his family to Beltsville, MD. In 1975, Steven attended and graduated from High Point High School. After high school, he entered the military and was stationed in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, where he met his wife Cheryl of forty-four years. He leaves behind his loving wife Cheryl Byrd; three children, Steven Byrd Jr., Corey Byrd and Tameka Atkins; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and six siblings. Service will be held at First Baptist of Highland Park, 6801 Sherriff Rd., Landover MD, 20785. Care entrusted to SNOWDEN FUNERAL HOME. www.snowdencares.com

To the family...
Steve took very good care of my elderly parents. Steve went out of his way on many a day to bring the mail to my parents door when he could have just left it in the mailbox. I'm sorry for your loss,we all wish we had seen Steve live out a long well deserved retirement .

Steve lovingly served our community for as long as I can remember going back at least 15 years. He was like part of the family and always looking out for the neighbors. Always a cheerful smile and laugh which we will sorely miss. Rest in Heaven Steve and to the family, we send our sincere condolences.

My dearest in Jesus Christ, I deeply admire & love you in Christ. I miss our talks about current events, things pertaining to Jesus, & life. Your an evangelist at heart. You lived compassionately for your family & the Lord. I thought we would be raptured together. But you graduated in life before me. You have touched a lot of people with the goodness of the Lord. I thank God for your friendship, it had enriched my life very much. I know you are thrilled of the sight of the Lord. But I missed you. Praise God we´ll see each other soon! HALLELUJAH!!!
