STEVEN MINTZ Obituary

Steven Mintz
July 8, 1943 - September 16, 2021  Steven Mintz was a remarkable man - everybody genuinely liked him. Memories sent to his wife Suzanne included the words gentleman, great sense of humor, wonderful listener, strong and determined, cheerful. He was well educated and well-read and always impressed people with the depth of his knowledge on a broad range of subjects. He lived a life outside the norm in that he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when he was 31years old. The ever-increasing disability made his life harder than most, but he fought back with a fierce determination. An economist, he worked for the Department of Energy for most of his career and retired only when acceptable accessible transportation made it too difficult to continue. He will be sorely missed by many who knew him, but most by his wife of 52 years, his daughter and granddaughter. Memorial service held at Temple Emanuel, Kensington, MD.
