STEVEN OSSER Obituary

Steven Lee Osser  (Age 76)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Fairfax, Virginia, after a long battle with a chronic illness. His wife, two children, and daughter-in-law were by his side. Steven was the beloved husband of 53 years to Susan Osser; loving father to Jason and Alison; father-in-law to Yiping and Dan; and cherished grandfather to Alexandria, Jessica, and Samantha. For most of his career he was the comptroller for the Town of Union. He also served as fire commission for the volunteer Endwell Fire Department. In retirement he worked at the Newseum where he found particular joy in giving tours to schoolchildren. For many years, until his mobility was impaired, he volunteered at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in order to support its mission. He enjoyed socializing, dining, and playing cards with friends. Most of all, Steven loved being with family and indulging his granddaughters. He will be cremated and will not have a funeral service. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
