Susan has been a wonderful cousin who has tried through the years to keep us all together.
I was amazed at her strength and spirit in this fight with cancer.
Susan, you will be missed. May God hold you close. Love, Cindy

I knew Susan through St. Clement's. She was an amazing spirit and an authentic person. Her energy and love of life will be truly missed.

Susan was my sister, my friend, my support in times of preparing for my wedding, my efforts to become a parent, and the adoption of my three children.
She loved me from when I was a baby. Our birthdays are one day apart. We have many happy childhood memories together such as playing dolls, swimming, and Girl Scout activities.
She was the best aunt. She loved my children and they love and miss her.
She fought to live as hard as she could. She also lived her life to the fullest.
She took care of mom and dad and me with all her might. She also taught us how to grow.
We will miss her dearly, but celebrate all the people she touched.

Susan was my first close friend and got me through high school's difficulties through here extreme intelligence and sense of humor. We were allies swimming against the stream. I followed her to the University of Illinois which was a happy turn of events in my life. Though we later drifted apart, I never forgot her thoroughly kind nature. The world has lost a true light of a human being in Susan. I seems so unfair when people like Susan who walk kindly and gently in the world are taken and those less kind and giving get to live on. She was a joy. Peace to all who are grieving her. Love, TERRY FARROW

I thought the world of Susan. She was smart and kind-hearted. She never said an unkind word about anyone. She preferred to laugh, and she had a really great laugh. I wish I had known she was so sick. It is so awful to say goodbye. I will really miss her.

I am so sorry. I worked in the PROLOG department after Susan left to do mortgage work. She was friends with two of my friends, Terry Brill, and Frederick Ehrenrich. I will tell them of her passing, and I will keep you in my prayers. Katy

Is this the Susan Swearingen who used to work at ACOG? If so, she is sorely missed.

Susan was a remarkable person. It's a tragedy for her to die so young.
I enjoyed getting to know her on a trip to Spain with her and my daughter, who was a close friend of hers.
I send my sympathy to her family.
