THOMAS HENRY PARKER, SR.
On Sunday, January 14, 2007 the beloved husband of 56 years to Martha Van Ness Parker and loving father of Thomas H. Parker, Jr. passed away peacefully in Fairfax, VA. He is survived by his twin brother, Robert and James Parker of Chatham, MA; a sister, Quana Eldwood of New Milford, CT and serveral nieces and nephews.
Tom was born in Greenwich, CT, and grew up in New Jersey and Larchmont, NY, where he sailed Long Island Sound. He loved hunting and fishing with his son and was a ham radio operator. During World War II, he was in the US Maritime Service and was very proud to have served his country. He graduated from Mamaroneck High School, New York and attended the University of Vermont and also George Washington University.He was named for his grandfather Thomas H. Rossbottom president of the Old Panama Steamship and Rail Road Line of New York City.
Services and Interment will be held at later date at the First Congregational Church, Greenwich, CT, in the family plott.
