TRAVIS LEE SOWDERS  March 12, 1975 ~ June 11, 2014  
Travis Lee Sowders, age 39, of West Hollywood, CA died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Los Angeles, CA. He was an extraordinary partner, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and all around bon vivant.  Travis is survived by his partner Rob Six of West Hollywood, CA; parents, Ancil and LynnSowders of Barbourville, KY; his sister, Synthia Sowders of Barbourville, KY; his nieces, Lillian and Audra Partin; many dear and beloved aunts and uncles; friends from around the world, He will also be missed by his beloved dog companion, Sofie. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Cordia Graham and his paternal grandparents, Bev and Betty Sowders.  Contributions can be made to the Liberty Hill Foundation/Travis Sowders Future Fund, which will be invested in causes such as K-12 education and equality and advancement of at-risk youth. Tax-deductible contributions can be mailed to 6420 Wilshire Blvd., Ste. 700, Los Angeles, CA 90048.  Funeral services for Travis will be conducted at the East Barbourville Baptist Church, Monday, June 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the East Barbourville Baptist Church, Monday, June 23, 2014 after 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m.  A second celebration of life for Travis will be held in Washington, DC on Saturday, June 28 at Evermay Mansion in Georgetown from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All are welcome.
