To the family, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Rita and I entered and completed our studies together at Delaware State. She was always cool, always classy and her hair was always tight! May God Bless Her Soul.

I was tearful to hear of the loss of my very vivacious colleague. We taught in different departments, but would have long conversations in the parking lot after school. Valrita was always a bright spot on even the most trying day. I miss her, and seeing her sparkly steering wheel which for me symbolized her personality.
Deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

To the Branic and Fleming Family,
Please accept our deepest condolences with humility. Our hearts are broken, and we are speechless. Valrita will be deeply missed. We have known Valrita´s mother, Ms. Fleming, for over 40 years, and we developed a close bond with her. Ms. Fleming, would always speak highly of Valrita, and it was apparent that she had a great deal of love for her daughter. We will always keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.
Love always,
Dwayne and Sheila Holmes
