Dr. VERNON C. JOHNSON
On Monday, May 19, 2014, devoted husband of Edna M. Johnson; loving father of Marcia Griffin (James, Jr.) and Evans Johnson; beloved grandfather of Simone T., James M, III, Ashland V. and Milan Griffin. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Leah M. Zeno; a host of nieces, nephews, the Kappa family, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Silver Spring United Methodist Church (formerly known as Woodside United Methodist Church), 8900 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20910, Rev. Rachel Cornwell, Pastor. Entombment Fort Lincoln Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements by FREEMAN.
