VICTOR COHEN Obituary

VICTOR DAVID COHEN  March 5, 1936- April 3, 2016
Dr. Victor David Cohen was an innovative thinker who brought joy to those around him, with loving kindness and the peppering of his humor and jokes. Vic was known for much more than being an accomplished engineer. He shared his comedic timing in any situation with character jokes, in addition to sharing his love for food, wine, and chocolate.  His greatest love was for his best friend, love-of-his-life, and wife Ziva. He also proudly loved his sons Ayal Cohen and Yuval David Cohen, their spouses, and his grandchildren. Vic was proud of his family, who were proud of him. He would do anything to help and support his family and friends, and they have all been empowered by Vic to shine as brightly as they could.  His accomplishments were extensive. Dr. Cohen led numerous programs dealing with the procurement of new and innovative systems and technology. He held various management positions with defense industry firms. During the 1980s, he was the U.S. Air Force''s senior civilian for tactical warfare in charge of all projects and programs. He received three degrees from the Stevens Institute of Technology and was a private first class in the 1950s, serving in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife and two sons, their spouses, his grandchildren, and his sister. Services and funeral will be Thursday April 7, 2016, at 12 noon at Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, Maryland, 20871. People are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. Condolences can be to the family at Sagelbloomfield.com.

Remembering my former amazing boss, Vic Cohen, as the anniversary of his passing nears. Lots of fond memories. Dr Cohen was a great boss. He was very good to me. I kept in touch with him through the years even after our work relationship ended. Meeting for lunch, having great conversations, laughing and remembering the old days! He had an infectious smile! I think about him often. I think about the loved ones he left behind and how I know they miss him terribly. Rest in Peace Dr Cohen. And know you are missed and will never be forgotten.

Remembering Dr Cohen as the anniversary of his passing nears. I know his family is still grieving this loss. He was a fun and cheerful and very smart man who was adored and is missed by many. Sending hugs to his family and Ziva.

I send my deepest sympathies to Dr Cohen's family during this difficult time. I know your hearts are broken. Dr Cohen was my boss in the 80s at the Pentagon. He was a charming man and fun to work for and be around. I kept in touch with him and met for lunch a few times with other ex coworkers of his. I am sad he is gone. It was a privilege to know him and work for him.
