My friend Dennis and I would visit Vince often to have hats sized and cleaned. I'm honored to say that he was a friend of ours. A true craftsman and artist.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Vincent Corvelli at his home to clean, block, and resize my fedora. It saddens me that Mr. Corvelli died as he seemed like such a nice man with a million stories to tell and needed being told. To my knowledge, he was the only person consistently recommended to me in this entire Maryland area by people who sold hats who knew how to block, clean, and size hats. I pray that Mr. Corvelli's art is not a dying trade in this country. There is still something to be said for a person to wear just the right kind of hat and to find just the right person to keep that hat looking great. Mr. Corvelli was clearly just that person.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to my cousins Dale, Barbara, Vince Jr as well as rest of the family. Uncle Vince will always hold special memories for me as his nephew. He was the what I like to call the Cool Uncle... when we were little and doing our annual gatherings at Nana and Pop Pop's house in Silver Spring he always had a special way of making all of us little ones feel like we were his equals. What a special gift! He will be missed dearly!

To the family and friends of Vincent Corvelli Sr: Please accept my dearest and heartfelt sympathy; I am so sorry for your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this difficult time. Isaiah 61:1,2
