I have been thinking of Shelly for years, and am so sad I didn't act on those thoughts way, way earlier. My heart broke when his obituary was the result of my Google search. Shelly was a dear, fun friend, a gentle soul I knew from The Apple Pie in Georgetown, before he moved to Colorado. I loved spending time with him at his beautiful home in Potomac. The world lost a beautiful person. God speed.

I always sent him two Birthday Cards which made him laugh. We went to the Universal Studios tour and my fathers Uncle, Sydney Solow got us both a VIP pass so we did not have to wait in line. Shelly knew how to have a good time and he made everyone happy where ever he went. A true gentleman that loved to laugh.

Shelly has come to mind so many times since I last saw him in the 70s. Remembering hanging out at his home in Potomac. A free spirit, a great talent, and great fun. Sorry I did not look him up when he popped into my mind and heart. Too late now...
