Warren Montouri Obituary

Warren Kendall Montouri, 96, died peacefully at his daughters' home in Potomac, Maryland, on September 15, 2025. Born in 1929, he spent his early years in Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, Maryland, before settling at Gibraltar Farm in Markham, Virginia.
Mr. Montouri served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1948 to 1950, and then on active duty in the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Corps during the Korean War from March 1952 to January 1954. He graduated from American University with a degree in business and began his career at Shannon and Luchs, where he rose to the position of vice president as a commercial real estate broker. During his tenure, he became a designated MAI member of the Appraisal Institute.
In the 1970s, he joined the board of DC National Bank, which later became Sovran Bank and eventually NationsBank. His career in banking continued for approximately thirty years, through its evolution into Bank of America.
Mr. Montouri was an active civic leader and served as a trustee of Suburban Hospital and a director of several institutions, including Allied Capital, the Audubon Naturalist Society, and Norwood School. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Maine and at the Tastee Diner with friends.
He was formerly married to Ann Yerrick Forgotson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Jerry Carter Wilson; his two daughters, Anne Kendall and Elisabeth Allyn Montouri; three grandchildren: Hannah, Thomas, and Ilah; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
The Montouri family extends their gratitude to Jose Bran for his trusted support over many years.
A private interment at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Semper Fi and America's Fund, the Humane Society of Warren County, or a local animal rescue organization of your choice.
