I just recently realized that Bill was no longer with us. I was a friend of his when we both ran elevators at the US Capitol (Longworth House Office Building), visited his home and attended a dance at Howard along with others. I was a student at George Washington and he attended Howard.
I had tried to reach out to him in Pensacola but didn't think to check in Washington. D.C. If this go to a family member I would love to touch base.

Billy was a trailblazer during early years of integration in Pensacola, Florida. He and I were members of Boy Scout Troop 180 at Mount Zion Baptist Church and graduated from same high school at different times.
May God bless his family at this time.
