WILLIAM KLAUBER Obituary


WILLIAM KLAUBER (Age 82)  
Of Bethesda, MD, passed away February 6, 2015, in Naples, FL. Born October 10, 1932, Mr. Klauber was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. A native New Yorker, Bill holds a BSJ Degree from Ohio University and an MBA from NYU. He also earned a Chartered Life Underwriter's (CLU) designation from the American College. His entire career was spent in the life insurance business, culminating with 16 years as CEO of the industry's primary education and training organization, The Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTC). Bill and his wife, Barbara, lived in the DC area for over 34 years. They became full time Naples residents in 2005. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed playing golf and tennis when not cheering on his favorite sports teams.Bill was a board member of Washington Hospital Center Foundation, Chair, Planned Giving; and a member of the Planned Giving Committee of NCH Foundation. He was active in the Naples community as Board member of Naples Press Club, Civitan International, Collier County Citizens Council and President of Pelican Bay Property Owners Association. Bill wrote the column "Ciao' plus other articles for the Collier Citizen and the Naples Daily News. Bill is survived by his wife Barbara; three daughters, Karen Klauber, Stephanie (Bill) Fix, and Sara (Bill) Boyan; and his granddaughters, Alessandra, Carly, Charlotte, and Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nan Klauber, and his sister, Ann Sheaber. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
