WILLIAM JOSEPH KOVALCIK (Age 73)
Of Alexandria, Virginia died peacefully at home with his family at his side on November 11, 2017. He is preceded by his parents; Philip and Susan Kovalcik; brother Philip Kovalcik; and sisters, Mary Sue Innes and Phyllis McWilliams. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann; brother Jim Kovalcik; sisters, Judy Gaudiano and Jackie McMahon; three daughters, Karen, Colleen, and Erica; and six grandchildren, Shelby, Reid, Olive, Knox, Logan, and Adeline. Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr. Alexandria, VA on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Ln. Alexandria, VA on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Wilkes Barre, PA on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Mary Anne - we know you have truly lost your lifelong sole mate. We will always remember Bill with that easy & constant smile. Barb and I always enjoyed catching up with the two of you at Lane's Christmas parties. Don't forget that you'll always be part of the Lane family. May he rest in peace.

I was sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I doubt that he knows how many people liked him. Hopefully he had some idea. With his warm smile and kind nature it was impossible not to like Bill.

Bill was the warmest, nicest person you could ever meet. I met Bill and Mary Ann at Nick's; they were wonderful to watch on the dance floor. I am very grieved and extend my sympathies to Mary Ann and all his family.

I'm saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I knew him from dancing at Nick's. He always offered a joyous smile and a friendly hello. We always joked about the crazy dancers on the dance floor. He will be missed.
