Dear Bill, I was shocked and saddened to hear of your sudden passing last week. You have my best wishes and gratitude for the superior job and service you performed over several years during tax time. I believe you are in a magnificent place now where there is a golf course that exceeds your greatest dreams. As you step up to tee off I raise a glass of Champagne to toast you. You are a fine human being and wonderful person. All best forever. J.W. Washington, DC

I am so very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was my Mom's long, long, LONG-time accountant (and he did my taxes, too, for years, and then again this past year).
My Mom passed away in April of 2018 and I can't even express in words just how much Bill helped me during the past year, as I handled my Mom's final affairs, including the probate of her will. The process was extremely stressful and overwhelming, and I would have felt alone and lost trying to navigate it, except for one comforting, reassuring, trusted presence at the end of the phone line (Florida to Maryland): Bill. Always accessible, always caring, always patient with all my questions and anxiety and grief, through it all, there he was. My Mom stuck with him even after moving to Florida, saying having him do her taxes was such a comfort to her. And this past year, I really, really experienced and understood exactly what she meant--I felt it, too: Bill went far above and beyond, and I don't know what I would have done without him to help me navigate it all. I will miss him. He wasn't just an accountant, he was a caring human being. And that got me through so much this year. Bill, thank you, wherever you are. I suspect you had that same helpful, comforting, reassuring effect on everyone whose lives you touched.
