Billy was a good man and one of the most original human beings I have ever had the pleasure to call my friend. It is way too soon for you to leave us.

Bill was a board member to the non profit I started, Give US Your Poor: The Campaign to End Homelessness, part of UMass Boston. He was always there to help with contacts, meetings, ideas, encouragement. Whenever I was in DC he'd take me to the Army & Navy CLub as his guest. A great guy. I just liked hanging around him and sensing his passion/committment. He'd end every phone call it seemed with "You're a great American," which gave me a jolt of energy. To Chris and other friends and family of Bill, my deepest sympathies. I miss him. John McGah

To Carol and Chris

You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of Bill. He would call every week or so to hear what was going on with his Boston relatives. He always had an interesting story to tell as well as giving me his latest views on the current administration. We are all so sorry we have lost such a good friend

nicky as he was known in Asmara Ethiopia(now Eriteria) was a good old ASA(Army Security Agency) buddy who made our 18 month tour more bearable and certainaly more enjoyable! 1963-64 -how young and what a life still ahead of us. Nicky sure made the most of his. Last saw him at the annual Kagnew Station reunion at Myrtle Beach in 2006. Our pal Dirty Jim Watson showed us a great time and Nicky was an older version of that zany pal from Africa. He will be missed. Pete Powell, Surprise, Az.
