I remember Mr. O'Rourke as the ideal friend's dad - funny, fun-loving and generous. One year, he was also my baseball coach at St. A's, and I'll always remember his patient efforts to teach me the finer points of the game. My brother Ed and I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. O'Rourke, Bill, Dan, and the rest of the O'Rourke family.

Dear Pauline, Mary Ann, Maureen, Eileen, Kevin, Dan, Bill and spouses,
Our sincere sympathy to each of you. We were so shocked by the news. It is the end of 39 years of friendship with Bill who always had me make quick adjustments - like on the second day of our friendship I was spouting diatribes about the John Birch Society and Bill said he was going to ask me to be block captain. I know he really appreciated me being part of the golf foursome because he never had to worry about coming in fourth place. It is so hard to believe we will not be hearing his warm greeting and his Irish stories. We have an inkling of your sense of loss. It is so final and it never goes away. We pray that God's Grace and his gift of time and the presence of the Holy Spirit will help you to finally at some future time get use to this great loss. The one thing we are sure of is that some day thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ we'll hear again Bill's warm greeting and his latest Irish joke. Take care you all and especially you Pauline.
In Deep Christian Love,
Ken and Melva

With a heavy heart, but fond memories, my prayers go out to Mrs. O, Kevin, Mary Ann, Maureen, Eileen, Danny and Billy. I reflect on the good times, the funny stories en-route to games and practices, the wisdom that Mr.O imparted, his sense of presence and good will that he left with each person he touched but most of all that he treated me as an adult when I was far from it and was not afraid to jump my you know what when it was necessary. God Bless a wonderful Family.
