Marcella Kornack Obituary
Athens - It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Marcy, our loving and devoted wife and mother on July 27, 2021.
Marcy was born on September 11, 1950 in Wind Lake, WI; the daughter of Raymond Fredrick and Charlotte McCormick. She graduated from Muskego High School, and later moved to Athens, WI where she met the love of her life. On April 26, 1974, she married Charles "Chuck" Kornack. Together, they owned and operated C&M Sales and Service in Athens.
Marcy was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Marcy's grandchildren were precious to her, and she was always there to be the perfect "babysitter" for them. She also cherished spending time at the cabin on Lake Nokomis, where many memories were made.
Marcy was an avid decorator, and always made sure that her home was festive and welcoming. She had a profound impact on many. She will be remembered for many of her genuine traits, but also for her love of her Irish heritage and her many famous one-liners (aka "Marcy-isms").
Those who will cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Chuck Kornack of Athens; her son, Patrick (Jackie) Kornack of Fenwood; her daughters: Sarah (Kyle) Payton of Athens and Amber (Kevin Bornemann) Kornack of Kaukauna; her grandchildren: Brinley, Owen, Brace, Clover and Troix along with many other relatives and dear friends. Marcy was further loved by her canine companions: Zoe, Copper and Waylan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Raymond Fredrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Athens. Rev. Barry Saylor will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather for the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorials in Marcy's name for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Chuck and your family. I have such great memories of Marcy. We do go back along ways from my kids running to your house and Kris baby sitting for your kids. Marcy will be missed by all who knew her. She was so kind and cared about all. RIP Marcy.
