Robert Bashe Obituary

Robert Bashe, age 76, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Warren, New Jersey. Bob was the dear husband of Barbara Morse Bashe.
Mr. Bashe was born in New York City, the son of the late Jack and Eva Papy Bashe.
He was one of two that graduated out of fifty students from Colombia University with a master's degree in engineering. He designed and implemented cockpit TV which is used in every fighter jet in the US and many countries throughout the world along with the cameras in space helmets, missile launchers, and the Space Station.
Robert was Vice President of Fairchild Schlumberger and President of Numax Electronics. He is the author of many Professional Journal Articles & belonged to many Professional Organizations. Robert was the chairman of New York Delegates of New York Federation, Past vice president of New York Federation of Reform Synagogues, Past President of Temple Beth Am in Merrick, NY, and board member of Directors of Little League in Merrick, NY. He organized a coalition of local synagogues to fundraise for Israel in the 1973 Israeli War.
Robert traveled extensively around the world and worked at Tyler Hill Camp for the past eight summers.
He is father to Steven & Gayle Bashe, Donna & Alan Kreisbuch, Jack & Melissa Bashe. Grandfather of Michael & Johanna Kreisbuch, Corey & Adam Bashe and Cody, Jesse & Dalton deDianous.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at congregation Beth Israel at 515 Court Street, Honesdale, Pa at 2 p.m.
Shiva will be held at the Bashe family home through Tuesday evening. Shiva will continue on Wednesday through Friday morning at the Kreisbuch residence in New Jersey.
Burial will be Monday in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Honesdale.

Arrangements are attended by The Arthur A. Bryant funeral Home, 1228 main street, Honesdale, Pa.
