Lorraine, 94, was born at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, daughter of Alsey and Dorothy (Uhl) Fuller. She was baptized April 9, 1944, at the First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls. Lorraine attended Brookside No. 9 country school and graduated from Iowa State Teachers College High School in 1949. She married Orville Stoffregen on April 11, 1952. He died in a farm accident in October 1970. Lorraine married Dick Escher on June 6, 1975. He passed away in December 1996.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Orville and Dick; son, Scott (Sara) Stoffregen; siblings: Grace Davidson, Alsey Fuller, Jr, Lois Henderson and Norma Gram; son-in-law, Kevin Pedelty; and granddaughter, Amanda. Survivors include her daughters: Diane (Dave) Caley, Joan Pedelty and Marsha (Dave) Wilkens; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine's Funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, with Visitation one hour prior at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery of Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Prairie Lakes Church of Cedar Falls.
