Linda Shadwick, age 77, of Waverly, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Unity Point Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Linda was born on August 26, 1948, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Sylvia (Zander) Doty. She was raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, graduating from Cedar Falls High School in 1966. On August 16, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Tom Shadwick in Cedar Falls. They started their life together in Holland, Iowa, however, they also lived in Cedar Falls, Denver, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa areas. In 2004 they built their house south of Waverly. Linda worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Waterloo and for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids retiring in 2008.
Linda's greatest love in life was her family, whom she enjoyed traveling out west with, especially to Yellowstone. Linda also liked going on odysseys with Tom, taking pictures, pets, especially her dogs, arts and crafts, auctions, and garage sales.
Linda's memory is honored by her husband, Tom Shadwick of Waverly; daughter, Stacey (Alan) Leerhoff of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Emily (Trace) Kromminga, Carter Leerhoff, and Casey Leerhoff. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 15, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow at Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Memorials may be directed to Linda's family for later designation. Online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com. 319-352-1187
