Patricia Louise White, lovingly known as Patty, passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 18, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, to Austin Porter Ramsey and Bessie Marie Palmer Ramsey. Patty was the second of five children, with an older brother and three younger sisters. At the age of seven, Patty was saved and had a desire to play the piano for her local church. Patty's passion for music, and musical talent started at a very young age and she began taking piano lessons. She desired to serve the Lord through her gift of music and as a teenager dreamed of becoming the church pianist. For more than 70 years, Patty dedicated herself to serving the Lord within the local church. From the age of 14, she shared her talents in various capacities, playing piano for numerous quartets, ensembles, trios, duets, senior choirs, children's choirs, church adult choirs and she loved playing hymns and praises for church congregations. Patty exemplified faithfulness in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her beloved family. She loved being a "stay at home" mom and devoted herself to being the best stay-at-home mother. On February 28, 1959, Patty fell in love and married Clyde Kent White. Together, they served the Lord in church ministry for over 36 years, with Patty as the church pianist and Clyde as the minister of music and church accountant, until Clyde's passing in October 1995. Patty continued her ministry, faithfully playing the piano at her local church until she was diagnosed with Alzheimer disease. Patty's husband, Clyde, was an accomplished pianist that could play anything "by ear" and he was a devoted minister of music, and Patty, a wonderful, skilled pianist for the congregation and church choir Clyde directed, they shared a common love of music in their musical ministry of the churches they served, but above all they both wanted their lives to be Godly examples for their family. Their greatest desire was to see family members, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren accept Christ as their Savior, and embrace the love of Christ and live lives that honored Him. Patty and Clyde were blessed with three children: Chris Alan White, Sherri Ann White, and Lisa Ann White. Patty's legacy of love, music, and faith will be cherished by her children, family and all who knew her.
