Leone was born April 9, 1935 to Edward and Marjorie (Menter) Schanen in Menomonie, WI.

Leone was an avid reader and probably read every Chicken Soup book available. She had a great love for her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leone is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters, Robin (Dan) Heiden and Suzanne (Dave Ninmann) Knopps; Grandchildren, Adam, Nathan (Erin) and Jordan (fiancé Leah Strandell) Heiden, Kyle (Kailee) Zabel, and Breanna Zabel; great grandchildren Reid and Tucker Heiden and Harlan Zabel; sisters-in-law Joan Schanen and Genny Schanen; brother-in-law Stanley Huftel; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
