On January 23, 1953, Warren and Alice Strassburg were blessed with their second of three sons, Michael John Strassburg. Mike was born in Watertown, WI and was baptized a child of God at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown on March 22nd, 1953. The family moved to Hustisford where Mike attended Bethany Lutheran School. He played sports at Bethany and excelled in basketball. During the summer months, he played baseball on Hustisford's Dodge County Colt team helping capture the league championship 3 times. During his time at Lakeside Lutheran High School, he picked up a job at the local Wollen Mills. He would come home from school and go to work until about 11:00pm. He used his money to fund his love of muscle cars at the time. These various cars included a Challenger RT, a GTX, a Roadrunner (probably his favorite), a Camero Z28, and a Triumph TR7. However, once he bought his home on Lake Sinissippi, he got a lesson in economics and bought a Subaru for his commute to Pewaukee; there, he worked for AT&T and IBM for nearly 40 yrs. He enjoyed his home on the lake where he enjoyed skiing and riding his jet ski. For the last nearly 20 years he split his time between Wisconsin and helping his parents with their winter home in Scottsdale, AZ. Mike became a bit of a social director scheduling the golf courses and tee times for outings with his friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Strassburg, his father, Warren Strassburg, and his mother, Alice Strassburg. He is survived by his brother, Steve Strassburg and Steve's wife, Cindy, along with his sister-in-law, Sandi Strassburg. He is further survived by his nephews and their spouses Jeremy Strassburg (Julie Strassburg) and Joshua Strassburg (Tiffany Strassburg) along with nieces, Rachael Kreis and her husband Wade Kreis and Sara Strassburg. Great nieces and nephews include Emmet Strassburg, Natalie Strassburg, Riley Strassburg, Noah Kreis, Noelle Kreis, Gabriel Strassburg and Grayson Strassburg.

Scottsdale doesn´t have seasons so when Mike would pop back up each year at TT Roadhouse we knew we were in for cooler weather. It was an annual thing and people would start asking where he was right around the same time he got back to town. He became one of the regulars and was always such a welcome addition. When he was finally given his first TT hoodie he simply said "I´m one of the a@@holes now" with a big grin on his face. It was amusing from someone who was always so warm, friendly and welcoming. Mike was loved and respected by a lot of folks around here and his presence will be greatly missed. My thoughts go out to his family. Rest easy Mike, until we see each other again.
