DAYTON — Roger Lee Bodiker, 92 of West Milton, OH passed away Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Maria Joseph Nursing Center, Dayton, OH. Born September 5, 1922 in Ogle County, Oregon to the late Virl and Elnora {Babbington} Bodiker. Also preceding him in death is his wife Clara E. Bodiker, and one son, Michael E. Bodiker. He is survived by his children; Barbara S. {Bodiker} Vagedes, Carol Stream, IL, Don Bodiker, Piqua, OH, Douglas A. Bodiker, Austin, TX and John W. Bodiker, West Milton, OH along with a sister, Mary Polhamus, Sidney, OH, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Roger proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, retired after working 41 years from Troy Sunshade/Division of Hobart Corp, was a retired chairman of local UAW #128, Troy, OH and was a member of Hobart Quarter Century Club. Roger very much enjoyed his family and fishing.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, burial will follow in West Charleston Cemetery, Bethel Township, OH. Family will receive friends from Noon until time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Roger to the Celebrate Life Foundation, 329 North Broad St., Fairborn, OH 45324.
