Charles Milne Obituary

Charles Stuart Milne, aged 96, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Wenatchee, WA surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 4,1929, in Leavenworth, Charles, affectionately known as Chuck and PC, lived a life marked by devotion to his family and community. He graduated from Dryden High School in 1947. For over 30 years, he was a respected orchardist in the Cashmere Valley and operated Milne Insurance Agency for 50 years. His professional life was characterized by a strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family and serving his clients. Family was at the center of Chuck's world. He was a loving and dedicated family man, always present at sporting events, including his grand children and great grandchildren. He loved planning family trips, including memorable fishing excursions to Westport and Alaska with his sons and grandchildren. Chuck enjoyed wintering in Yuma. He made many friends and belonged to the Almost Yumans Camping Club.
An active member of his community, Chuck was a Tyee member at Husky Football for 35 years and a member of the Lions and Shriners Clubs. His hobbies included fishing, RV traveling, and attending school sports events, which kept him involved and connected with his community and friends.
Chuck leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his children, Scott (Shelly) Tom (Laurie),Randy (Cheryl), and Pam Catching (Jeff). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Chuck was preceded in death by is beloved wife of 55 years, Mary Jo Milne and his partner and best friend, Colleen Holmer.
Chuck's life was a lasting reminder of the value of family, the joy of being deeply rooted in community, and the importance of never losing your sense of humor. He had a way of telling a story that could light up a room, drawing people in with laughter, wit, and warmth. Through his words and presence, Chuck reminded us that life is richest when shared with others.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff and friends he met during his short stay at Blossom Valley for the kindness and compassionate care they provided.
A Celebration of Chuck's life is planned for next spring.

As my old cub master and the father of my friends Tom, Scott and Randy he will be missed. But I´m thankful for his many contributions to the community. As the bulldog football gate keeper, maybe the Lord will give him a new job in Heaven. He will be missed.

Charlie was so dear to me. He started teasing me about a love note I left for Gregg in the garage many years ago. And in retaliation I called him Charlie after I was told he didn´t like that nickname. It was our special thing. I will miss his ready smile, his teasing, and his hugs.
