Clara Jean Langendorf (née Rideout), a beloved sister, aunt, mother, and wife, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in Wenatchee, WA, at the age of 78. She was born on November 16, 1946, in Los Angeles, CA, to David and Della Rideout.
Clara was the youngest daughter out of eight children in a tight-knit family. She graduated from Azusa High School in 1965. In 1982, she married Larry "Dan" Langendorf, a Vietnam veteran and devoted husband. Together, they shared a fulfilling life until his passing in 2010. For many years, Clara and Dan delivered newspapers for The Wenatchee World, managing their own routes with dedication and teamwork.
Clara was also an active member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She proudly served through all the chairs and held the position of President from 1987 to 1988. Her commitment to the organization reflected her dedication to service, community, and fellowship. Throughout the years, Clara worked closely with numerous charities, often organizing raffles and other efforts to help raise money for those in need. She was always eager to contribute her time and energy to a good cause.
She is survived by her sisters, Carol Guenther and JoAnne Brannen, both of Wenatchee; her brothers, Jon (Sarah) Rideout of Newton, AL, and Steven Rideout of Tacoma; her niece, Verna (Dale) Fichtner of Rock Island, and their children, Benjamin (Araceli), Rachel, and Katherine (Gared Langlow); her great-nieces, Lesley Salyers and Mariah Miles; her great-nephew, Michael Miles; her nephew, Glenn Hoffman of Wenatchee; her daughter, Cassandra Pulver of Maryland; her granddaughter, Brandie Pulver of East Wenatchee; her nieces and nephews from the rest of her siblings' families: Edward "Eddie" (Michelle) Ronquillo, Amy Guest, David Rideout, Duane Leach, Lisa Earl, Terry Rideout (Lily) and their daughters, Violet and Yvette, James "JimJim" Rideout and his children, James "Jake," Joseph, and Shelbey Rideout, Tami Rideout, Mary, Andrea, and Stephanie Rideout; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Halvorsen and Bessie French of Wenatchee; her dear friend, Dorothy Fine; Linda Earl; the rest of the Earl family; and anyone of the Puyallup Tribe of Tacoma who knew and loved her. She is also survived by many more loving friends and family.
